El polipasto marino para embarcaciones es una máquina de elevación de diseño especial, para elevar y bajar yates o embarcaciones dentro y fuera del agua. Incluye estructura principal, bloque de ruedas de desplazamiento, mecanismo de elevación, mecanismo de dirección, sistema de transmisión hidráulica y sistema de control eléctrico. La estructura principal es de tipo "U". Y puede transferir el barco a una posición más alta que su propia altura.
