Recently, we received an email inquiry from a Saudi Arabian customer for an explosion-proof overhead crane. As an important steel producer in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia has continued to promote industrial upgrading in recent years, and has a strong demand for efficient and stable lifting equipment. The customer's purchase demand this time is two 10-ton single girder explosion-proof overhead cranes for lifting raw materials and handling finished products in the steel production line.

Project Challenges

Special operating environment: The summer temperature in Saudi Arabia can reach 50°C, and the steel plant is dusty and has low humidity, which places extremely high demands on the crane's motor heat dissipation, steel structure heat resistance, and dustproof performance.

Compliance with international certification standards: The customer requires the equipment to comply with Saudi Arabia SASO certification and EU CE safety standards, and needs to complete multiple technical document reviews and on-site acceptance.

Tight delivery schedule: The customer's production line renovation program has been initiated, and there are only 3 months left from signing to delivery, far exceeding the regular production cycle.

Customized design: Nucleon for customers customized two 10-ton single-girder explosion-proof overhead cranes. Use an explosion-proof electric hoist as a lifting mechanism

Motor and frequency conversion system: The use of high-temperature resistant motors and frequency conversion control systems ensures that the equipment can operate continuously and stably in high-temperature environments.

External structure design: Anti-rust coating is added to the steel structure components, and the electrical system is upgraded to an IP54 protection level to prevent dust from entering.

Safety device: Equipped with devices such as overload protection, limit switches, and remote monitoring functions to improve safety during production.

Promote production progress: Nucleon formed a special team to promote the production, inspection, and certification process, shortening the delivery time to 60 days. It also worked with Saudi local service providers to complete the pre-acceptance to ensure rapid installation and commissioning of the equipment after it arrived at the port.

Service Guarantee: Provide bilingual operation manuals in English and Arabic, and send engineers for on-site training. Sign a 3-year maintenance agreement to ensure that the customer service team responds to needs within 24 hours.

Protection during transportation: Considering the severe turbulence during sea transportation, in order to prevent damage to the equipment, we split the two devices, put them into suitable boxes, and fixed them firmly with steel wire ropes to ensure the stability of the equipment during the turbulence.
